Hi!  I’m Mrs. Renfro, and I love teaching 1st Grade!  This is my eighth year here at KCS, and I really enjoy getting to work with all the great kids that come through my classroom.

 

I have three children of my own.  My oldest, Michael, who is 20, is currently taking a break from being a music major at college.  My younger two, Laura—17 and Patrick—14 attend Kemp ISD and are active in band and drama.  I have been married these last 23 years to my husband, Jim, who pastors Calvary Baptist Church near Kemp.  I play the piano for our church and teach an adult Sunday School class.  My husband and I spent the first nine years of our marriage as Home Missionaries, planting a church in Pennsylvania.

 

While my husband was born here in Texas, I grew up in Georgia and went to college there.  I initially got my degree in Secondary Education and taught high school English.  After we moved to Texas 13 years ago, I started working at a private elementary school and decided that I really liked teaching younger children.  I am now ACSI certified in Elementary Education and couldn’t be happier!

 

I really appreciate the opportunity KCS gives me to work with the children here, and I’m looking forward to another great year!
